Chief Executive Officer
Blair has owned and operated a large range of aircraft ranging from Cessna 150s to a Douglas DC3. His aim was to establish a flying school where students are taught to be safe and proficient pilots, while getting real value for money.
Patrick Meier
HEAD OF Flying OPERATIONS | FLight Examiner
Patrick is in charge of Flying Operations as well as being our CASA authorised flight examiner for RPL, PPL & CPL courses. Patrick returned to BFS in 2021 after 3 years as a PC-12 pilot for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

BUSINESS ADMIninstrator | Standby CEO
Pam is the Quality Manager, and also responsible for HR, accounts and general administration. She is our “Main Vein” as Blair would say!
KATIE HESSON
Student liaison officer
Katie joined the team in 2016 and is now the main contact for student enrolments, course scheduling, student assistance and support, and management of VET Student Loans.
Jill Jilley
Facilities and marketing officer
Before BFS, Jill worked in local government at Kununurra. Earlier in 2022, Jill relocated to Bunbury and now manages marketing and the maintenance of our facilities. Her full time job, however, is mum of two kids!
Margaret Lane
RTO MANAGER
Marg recently relocated back home to Bunbury after spending a number of years working in the Retail and Shopping Centre Management Industry in Melbourne. Marg is looking forward to the challenge and some warmer weather in the South West.

Adam Levay
Deputy HEad Of Operations | Flight Examiner
Adam is one of our CASA authorised flight examiners for RPL, PPL & CPL, Multiengine and Instrument ratings. Adam has a wealth of aviation experience having worked across various sectors of the industry since becoming a pilot.
Ben Romaines
GRADE 2 INSTRUCTOR & Safety Manager
Ben started his aviation career in early 1999 and has been flying ever since. Ben joined BFS in 2020 and specialises in ab-initio training and his students love flying with him!
Akif Sert
Grade 1 instructor - Part Time
Akif previously worked as a full-time Instructor with the BFS Team for 4 years. However, he now holds a part-time role with BFS while simultaneously working as a Pilot for a Regional Airline.
BRANDOn MOSS
Grade 2 instructor
Once a financial auditor, Brandon joined the team in 2022 after a career change. He completed all his initial training at BFS and loves flying with his students.
Kyle Slack
grade 3 instructor
Kyle completed his commercial training with us at Bunbury Flying School in 2019 before joining the team in 2020 as a full-time ground instructor. Kyle specialises in RPL, PPL and CPL theory and has a fantastic track record.
Matthew Chernabaeff
Grade 2 Instructor
Before acquiring his Commercial Pilot's Licence with BFS, Matt worked as a nurse. Following some aviation experience up North, he made the choice to come back to his picturesque home in the south-west, this time as a Flight Instructor.
pATRICK GILMORE
Grade 3 Instructor
Patrick completed his Commercial Flight training with us at Bunbury Flying School in 2021 and most recently completed his Instructor rating to join the BFS team as a Flight Instructor in 2023.
Dev Patel
Grade 3 Instructor
Meet Dev, one of our newest Instructors to join the busy BFS Team. Dev completed his Commercial Flight Training with us in 2022 and is now starting his career in Aviation at BFS. Welcome Aboard!
ERhardt Joubert
Grade 3 Instructor
Meet Instructor Erhardt who was once BFS Student Pilot and successfully completed his Commercial Flight training in 2020. This is Erhardt’s 1st Pilot Position and we’re happy to have him on board.
Jason huynh
Grade 3 Instructor
Jason completed his Commercial Flight Training with BFS in 2022. Since then Jason gained some Instructor experience in Queensland before returning to Bunbury and joining the team in 2024 as BFS Instructor. Welcome back!
