Overview

Transition your love of flying into a rewarding career in aviation with our new and improved commercial pilot course featuring integrated commercial training in the Cessna 206 Stationair. This unique course is targeted to students who have not flown previously and want a career as a Commercial Pilot.

Cessna 206 commercial training has been integrated into the course commencing 2023. This relevant training is recognised as the minimum requirement to gain entry level employment in the aviation industry. This training will be conducted based on individual pilot competency and available funding.

This course consists of 28 core units (view here) and 1 elective unit:

Training

AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane) is a National Training Accredited Course is structured to meet the CASA regulatory requirements for the issue of a Commercial Pilot Licence.

Our fully integrated flying school enables students to learn theory and complete regular flight training. We offer 1 on 1 Flight Instructor teaching, briefing and support, providing students with a consistent learning environment.

The local airspace in the Bunbury is ideal for beginner flight training, whilst the higher density environment of Perth is conveniently located for the advanced stages. Bunbury Airport offers short taxi times and no landing fees resulting in quicker takes offs and reducing any additional fees incurred.

The duration of the course varies according to the student’s previous experience: 52 weeks if no previous flying experience. The diploma course is conducted at Bunbury Flying School on a full time basis face to face.

Entry Requirements:

• Eligible for a CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical; and

• Eligible for an ASIC; and

• Achieved WACE or equivalent; or

• Achieve ACSF exit level 3 in reading and numeracy from our LLN Robot Assessment Tool: and

• 18 years old by the CPL flight test
