AVIATION CONNECTIONS PROGRAM

At Bunbury Flying School, our Connections Programs provide meaningful opportunities for students to experience Aviation first hand. In partnership with High Schools and Vocational Education providers, we deliver tailored programs for students to explore the world of Aviation and career pathways in the Industry.


Bunbury senior High School - Year 11 General Aviation Course

This course offers High School Students an introduction to Aviation, exploring key topics such as human factors, navigation, aerodynamics, meteorology, and more. As part of the program, we deliver practical learning components, including 2 Flight Lessons from the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) syllabus. This hands-on Flying experience not only enhances their understanding of Aviation but also counts as recognised Flight training within the industry!

Throughout the year, students gain valuable insights into the world of Aviation and explore potential career pathways. We're excited to watch and support the Students while they start their Aviation journey.


mANEA senior cOLLEGE rECREATIONAL pILOT lICENCE

We offer the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) program tailored to align with the school year calendar, delivered over a 36-week schedule.

This opportunity is designed for dedicated students who are taking their first step towards a career in aviation. The RPL syllabus is delivered 2 days per week at Bunbury Flying School and the course is primarily self-funded.

Manea College is committed to providing personalised learning pathways for their students, and we are proud to support this unique opportunity for those with a passion for aviation.


Greenwood college aviation specialist program excursion

This Department of Education approved specialist program is designed for students who are serious about Aviation and eager to explore future pathways in the industry.

During their visit, Students completed a Trial Introductory Flight, giving them a hands-on flying experience in a real aircraft. They also took part in a range of hands-on activities and gained a glimpse into the life of a Student Pilot.

We’re proud to support programs like this that bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world aviation training, helping to nurture a passion for Aviation!


tafe career tasters program

As part of the WA Government’s Career Taster initiative, this program introduces Year 9 and 10 students to different career pathways including Aviation.

Students who are ‘career curious’ gain an insight into the world of aviation through hands-on aviation activities, commercial pilot information session, meeting our instructors and listening to some of our student pilots journeys.

It’s designed to spark interest and help students make informed subject and career choices earlier in their education journey.
