AVIATION CONNECTIONS PROGRAM
At Bunbury Flying School, our Connections Programs provide meaningful opportunities for students to experience Aviation first hand. In partnership with Universitities, Vocational Education providers and High Schools, we deliver tailored programs to meet course requirements or for students to explore the world of Aviation and career pathways in the Industry.
CQUniversity - aviation courses
We’ve been a Flight Training partner with CQU for over 6 years delivering the Flight Training component for CQU's Aviation courses.
As a proud Flight Training Partner of CQUniversity, we currently have CQU students successfully completing their practical Flying components with us. Onsite Student Accommodation is available, providing convenience and allowing students to focus fully on their Training and progression.
We welcome prospective Students to visit and explore our Facilities to get a firsthand look at our Training environment.
Bunbury senior High School - Year 11 General Aviation Course
This course offers High School Students an introduction to Aviation, exploring key topics such as human factors, navigation, aerodynamics, meteorology, and more. As part of the program, we deliver practical learning components, including 2 Flight Lessons from the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) syllabus. This hands-on Flying experience not only enhances their understanding of Aviation but also counts as recognised Flight training within the industry!
Throughout the year, students gain valuable insights into the world of Aviation and explore potential career pathways. We're excited to watch and support the Students while they start their Aviation journey.
Career expos
Bunbury Flying School is proud to take part in Career Expos across the South West and Perth. These events give us the opportunity to connect with aspiring pilots, share insights into aviation career pathways, and showcase the training options available.
Visitors also get the opportunity to take flight in our mobile flight simulator, giving them a hands-on experience of what it’s like to be in the pilot’s seat.
Greenwood college aviation specialist program excursion
This Department of Education approved specialist program is designed for students who are serious about Aviation and eager to explore future pathways in the industry.
During their visit, Students completed a Trial Introductory Flight, giving them a hands-on flying experience in a real aircraft. They also took part in a range of hands-on activities and gained a glimpse into the life of a Student Pilot.
We’re proud to support programs like this that bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world aviation training, helping to nurture a passion for Aviation!
tafe career tasters program
As part of the WA Government’s Career Taster initiative, this program introduces Year 9 and 10 students to different career pathways including Aviation.
Students who are ‘career curious’ gain an insight into the world of aviation through hands-on aviation activities, commercial pilot information session, meeting our instructors and listening to some of our student pilots journeys.
It’s designed to spark interest and help students make informed subject and career choices earlier in their education journey.
